1 ST TRANSNATIONAL MEETING IN ATHENS, GREECE
The partnership convened in Athens, Greece on the 8 and 9 of June 2017 for the 1st transnational meeting of the project. The meeting was hosted by one of the Greek partners, the Institute of Labour of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (INE/GSEE), and it was attended by representatives of all participant organizations. It was an interactive meeting characterized by dynamic and open discussions, which were held within a positive spirit of collaboration, teamwork and respect. A briefing on the progress of the initial phase of implementation was first held by the Coordinator of the project. The representative of INEK-PEO informed the group on the completed actions and the outstanding commitments showed by the partners during these first months. The Dissemination Plan as well the Quality Assurance Guide were also presented and discussed among the partners. Additionally, the progress of the implementation of the first work-package has been presented by the leading organization. The group discussed the difficulties faced during the initial implementation process and set an updated timeframe in order to fully complete all scheduled activities of the first work-package. Furthermore, the leading organizations of the following work-packages, starting in June 2017, presented their action plans, the content and thematic units 0f each sub-activity and their implementation timeline. Finally, the Evaluator of the project, Iriv Conseil from France, presented and discussed with the group the Evaluation Action Plan and its pertinent evaluation activities. The Iriv Conseil’s representative also presented the preliminary evaluation findings on the implementation of the first work-package and requested all partners to provide an additional feedback during the meeting in Athens.
KICK-OFF MEETING IN NICOSIA, CYPRUS
The kick-off meeting of the project was held in Nicosia, Cyprus on 18 November, 2016, hosted by the Cyprus Labour Institute (INEK-PEO). Its main purpose was to build a strong team spirit among the partnership and to ensure that all participant organizations and individuals working in the project have a good understanding of the project, its planned activities and the timeline directions for their implementation. The meeting also aimed to generate support for the implementation of the project’s activities by equally involving all consortium members since a very early planning stage. In this way, participants had the opportunity to ask questions, to clarify assumptions and to identify potential threats and problems. Furthermore, the meeting aimed to remind all participants of their individual contractual commitments to the project. Finally, the meeting also meant to explain the financial, budgeting and administrative regulations, restrictions and arrangements specified by the project.
Erasmus+ programme “Educating Social Partners towards Ethnic Diversity in SMEs”.
The MigrAID partnership is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the proposal submitted for funding to the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes of Cyprus (IDEP), Erasmus+ programme entitled “Educating Social Partners towards Ethnic Diversity in SME’s”. The partnership is a synergy of collaboration of eight prominent and competent organizations from five EU Member States: Cyprus, Greece, Italy, France and Denmark. The leading partner of the project is the Cyprus Labour Institute (INEK-PEO); the other partners are: (1) Action for Equality, Support, Antiracism (KISA), Cyprus, (2) Institute of Labour of the General Confederation of Greek Workers (INE/GSEE), Greece, (3) Small Enterprise’s Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professional Craftsmen AE (IME/GSEVEE), Greece, (4) Universita Delgi Studi di Milano (UMIL), Italy, (5) Enaip Veneto Impresa Sociale (ENAIP Veneto I.S.), Italy, (6) Iriv Conseil, France and (7) Videnscenter for Integration, Denmark.
The duration of the project is thirty-four (34) months running since October 1, 2016 with a budget of 361,480.00 euros distributed accordingly to all partners. Thematically and as its title suggests, the project is focused on the integration of migrants working in the sector of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and ethnic diversity through the development and delivery of sectoral training programmes addressed to both the migrant communities in all five participant member states and the sectoral stakeholders, trade unionists and employers. The project, in addition, runs two innovative and interconnected research studies on SMEs, an international conference and several other events.

Erasmus+ programme “Former les partenaires sociaux à la Diversité dans les Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (PME)”.
L’équipe du projet MigrAID est heureuse que son projet déposé dans le cadre du programme Erasmus+ et intitulé “Former les partenaires sociaux à la Diversité dans les PME” ait été accepté par l’Agence nationale Chypriote (IDEP). Le partenariat est constitué de huit organisations pertinentes sur le sujet, issues de 5 pays européens: Chypre, Grèce, Italie, France et Danemark. L’Institut chypriote du Travail (INEK-PEO) est le chef de file du projet; les autres partenaires sont: (1) Action pour l’Egalité, le Soutien et l’Antiracisme (KISA), à Chypre, (2) l’Institut du Travail de la Confédération Générale des travailleurs grecs (INE/GSEE), en Grèce, (3) la Confédération grecque des artisans (IME/GSEVEE), en Grèce, (4) l’Université de Milan (UMIL), en Italie, (5) l’organisme de formation Enaip Veneto Impresa Sociale (ENAIP Veneto I.S.), en Italie, (6) Iriv Conseil, en France et (7) Videnscenter for Integration, au Danemark.
La durée du projet est de 34 mois à partir du 1er Octobre 2016 avec un budget de 361.480.00 euros répartis entre les partenaires. Le projet est dédié à l’intégration des travailleurs migrants travaillant dans les Petites et Moyennes Entreprises (PME) et à la promotion de la Diversité grâce à des programmes de formation s’adressant aux communautés de migrants dans les 5 pays et des acteurs clés, syndicats d’employés et d’employeurs. En complément, le projet conduira des recherches innovantes et interconnectées auprès des PME, une conférence internationale et plusieurs autres événements.

Η σύμπραξη MigrAID είναι στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσει την επιτυχή κατάληξη της πρότασης που κατατέθηκε για χρηματοδότηση στο Ίδρυμα Διαχείρισης Ευρωπαϊκών Προγραμμάτων (ΙΔΕΠ) Δια Βίου Μάθησης της Κύπρου του προγράμματος Erasmus+ με τίτλο «Εκπαιδεύοντας τους Κοινωνικούς Εταίρους για την Εθνοτική Ποικιλομορφία στις Μικρομεσαίες Επιχειρήσεις» . Η σύμπραξη αποτελεί μια συνέργεια συνεργασίας οκτώ διακεκριμένων οργανισμών από πέντε κράτη μέλη της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης: Κύπρος, Ελλάδα, Ιταλία, Γαλλία και Δανία. Το πρόγραμμα θα διαρκέσει για τριάντα-τέσσερις (34) μήνες και τρέχει από την 1η Οκτωβρίου 2016 με προϋπολογισμό 361,480.00 ευρώ, το οποίο διανέμεται ανάλογα σε όλους τους εταίρους. Θεματικά και όπως ο τίτλος εισηγείται, το πρόγραμμα επικεντρώνεται στην ένταξη των μεταναστών στο τομέα των μικρομεσαίων επιχειρήσεων και την εθνοτική ποικιλομορφία μέσω της ανάπτυξης και εφαρμογής εκπαιδευτικών τομεακών προγραμμάτων που απευθύνονται τόσο στις κοινότητες των μεταναστών σε όλα τα συμμετέχοντα κράτη μέλη όσο και στα ενδιαφερόμενα μέρη, επαγγελματικά συνδικαλιστικά στελέχη και εργοδότες. Το πρόγραμμα, επίσης, εφαρμόζει δύο καινοτόμες και αλληλένδετες ερευνητικές μελέτες στον τομέα των μικρομεσαίων επιχειρήσεων, ένα διεθνές συνέδριο και άλλες δραστηριότητες.

La partnership MigrAID è lieta di annunciare l’esito positivo della proposta sottoposta per il finanziamento alla Fondazione per la Gestione dei Programmi Europei di formazione permanente di Cipro IDEP): il programma Erasmus + ,intitolato“Educare le Parti Sociali alla Diversità Etnica nelle Piccole Medie Imprese”. La partnership rappresenta una sinergia tra otto note e qualificate organizzazioni appartenenti a cinque Stati membri dell’Unione europea: Cipro, Grecia, Italia, Francia e Danimarca. La durata del progetto è di 34 mesi, a partire dal 1 ottobre 2016, con un budget di 361.480 euro, distribuiti tra i diversi partners. Tematicamente, come suggerisce il titolo, il progetto è focalizzato sull’integrazione degli immigrati che lavorano in piccole e medie imprese e sulla diversità etnica. Prevede lo sviluppo e l’erogazione di programmi di formazione settoriale rivolti sia alle comunità immigrate nei cinque paesi membri partecipanti, sia agli attori sociali del settore, sindacalisti e imprenditori. Il progetto, in aggiunta, conduce due ricerche innovative interconnesse sulle piccole e medie imprese, un convegno internazionale e diversi altri eventi.
L’unità partner dell’Università degli studi di Milano è il Dipartimento di Scienze sociali e politiche e il responsabile del progetto è Maurizio Ambrosini, docente di Sociologia delle Migrazioni.

Det glæder MigrAID partnerskabet at kunne bekendtgøre at der er opnået tilsagn om finansiering af projektet “Træning af Sociale Partnere i Etnisk Diversitet i SMV’er” under EUs Erasmus+ program, i samarbejde med Fonden for håndtering af EUs Livslangs lærings program, på Cypern (IDEP).
Partnerskabet er et samarbejde mellem otte fremtrædende og kompetente organisationer fra fem EU medlemslande: Cypern, Grækenland, Italien, Frankrig og Danmark. Projektlederen er det Cypriotiske Arbejdsmarkedsinstitut (INEK-PEO). Projektet varer 34 måneder, begyndte 01. oktober 2016 og har et budget på 361.480 Euro, der fordeles mellem partnerne.
Projektet har fokus på etnisk diversitet og på at skabe den gode arbejdsmarkedsintegration af migranter, specielt i små og mellemstore virksomheder (SMV’er). Dette bliver gjort via udvikling og anvendelse af målrettede træningsprogrammer til såvel migranter, som fagforeninger, som arbejdsgiverforeninger i de fem deltagende lande. Samtidig afholder projektet to innovative forskningsprojekter om SMV’er, samt en international konference og andre begivenheder.
